Message I ask because I couldn't find anyone locally to rebuild the starter in my Pathfinder the day it died (needed it immediately), so I rebuilt it myself. Took me not even 30 minutes, and it's been fine for the last 15k miles already.

Starter/truck had 130k miles at the time it wouldn't turn over, and it looked as OE as could be. I didn't have to replace any parts, just sand the brushes and clean everything else.

I'm more curious as to how/where this shop got replacement parts, if even needed, just in case I ever have to take mine apart again. I didn't see a rebuild kit from Nissan for my truck, so I can't imagine they'd have one readily available for a Z either.
